Range: the Alps, Balkans, Fennoscandia, the mountains of S Siberia and N Mongolia from Altai to Baikal.
ssp.: yernikensis Korshunov, 1995 (pro orientalis Goltz, 1930, homonym); range: S Siberia.
Wings closed.

Fiori et Paol. montane tundra at 2200 m above sea level in the Argem (Direntai) Stream basin, 15 km W of the village Dzhazatr, on the eastern spurs of the Katunskiy Mt.
