Lake Zun-Torei (vieved from the hill Chikhalan on its northern bank) is one of two large Torei Lakes situating on the Russian/Mongolian border on the interfluve of the Onon and Kerulen Rivers (Genghis Khan's motherland) in Dahurian steppes, being an NE extreme of te steppen area of Euroasia. The lake banks are covered with a dry bunchgrass steppe. These brackish lakes fluctuate roughly periodically and almost dissapear about each 30 years. Now they are at their maximum. S Chita Region, Transbaikalia, Siberia, Russia.
