Hipparchia pellucida (Stauder, 1923) (= Hipparchia semele L. pellucida).

An examle of a cryptic Satyrid underwear, but in this case the species inhabits not arid habitats, as most of its counterparts in the family and subfamily, but forests, so now it got almost invisible on a tree bark.

Range: Crimea, the Caucasus, Transcaucasia, East Turkey, Iraq, Syria, Cyprus.

ssp.: pellucida (Stauder, 1923); ? monotypical.

A female, wings closed.
