Hesperia florinda Butler, 1878.

The skipper shows a very peculiar sitting posture, with the wings resembling pages of a half-open book, characteristic to the subfamily Hesperiinae.

RANGE: eastward of the Tunkin River in Pribaikalye through S Transbaikalia and E Mongolia to Primorye, NE China, Korea, and Japan.

ssp.: rozhkovi Kurenzov, 1970; range: Transbaikalia, ?Amurland, ?Primorye.

A male on Dianthus versicolor Fischer ex Link; wings half open.

A forb meadow on a SE slope 12 km SE of the village Gazimurskii Zavod, Gazimurskozavodskoi District, E Chita Province, E Transbaikalia, Siberia, Russia. 24th July 1997. O. Kosterin.
